A Visual Novel about the twilight of the Venetian Republic

It is 1715 and the Ottoman once again threaten the Stato da Màr, the Venetian oversea possessions in the Mediterranean. You are pulled into the world of the Sangui – vampires – who behind the scenes are the real puppet masters of the Republic.

Features

  • Non-linear choice mechanics
  • Around 6 hours of game play (73k words)
  • Historical setting with lots of interesting potential
  • Many intertwining stories (sandbox) rather than only one primary story

Who should consider this

  • You like visual novels and story focused games
  • You like VtM over Vampire Diaries, even if both can be good
  • You enjoy vampire settings that tend a bit more towards realistic
  • You appreciate a historic setting for a game

Status

  • This is a work-in-progress project I am working on in my spare time
  • This is the first release and only partially touches upon what my vision is
  • It's really just a first release (version 0.1.0), with so much missing including e.g. music or sound, so put on a nice classic mood playlist while you play :)
  • I hope it works well enough without too many bugs or mistakes
  • Feedback and  Support are highly appreciated

good game so far, only seen one or two typos but its easy to over look them. the only thing i would say is add a save function of some form, like a manual save function. besides that little point, which isnt really much to me im quite enjoying it.

Thanks I appreciate it. :)

I have been thinking about the save functionality as well. I don't really like to have something like 'dead ends' (be it death or a messed up state with no proper end) where you more or less are forced to reload.

The other consideration I had was that I do not want people to feel that they need to save manually and be distracted by  that.

But I also understand that some people would like to explore multiple options in stories as well. It's something on my to-do list for sure.
